So there are two videos, but only because there were technical issues! The first one is only nine-ish minutes, so check them out, or follow along here on the blog to see how we made it.
Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint: Pettcoat Pink, White Swan, Gravel Road
Amazon: Posca Paint Pens, DAP Rapid Fuse glue Click here to check out my crafting essentials (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.) You can also find the DAP glue pretty much anywhere. I’ve seen it at Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot.
Hobby Lobby: Scrapbook paper from Barnwood Pretty 2 (I’ve had this for a few years, but you can use any paper / fabric / paint you like.)
I am so excited over this Woodshop launch! Check it out! Valentines, chickens, mushrooms!
Now, let’s get ready to craft with this cute Heart Sitter Trio!
Let’s make it!
The possibilities, y’all!
They arrive packaged like this!
First, I traced some of the wood pieces onto scrapbook paper, then cut them out.
I used Mod Podge to hold the paper pieces onto the wood.
Next, I painted the rest. I started out painting the hearts with Petticoat Pink, but later decided to use Kissing Booth (darker pink).
I used my palette knife to make some gray detail on the pots…
…and then added in some Petticoat Pink to enhance the bows.
I outlined the hearts with my black Posca paint pen, then painted the base with light gray after considering glitter. The glitter was too “glittery”, so I sanded that off and went with the gray.
Next, I glued the wood pieces into the slots. They fit well enough to not use glue, so it’s up to you to have them in permanently or not.
And here we are! We have a cheery bunch of Valentine heart flowers!
I hope you enjoyed this craft. Let me know in the comments how you might finish yours! I appreciate every comment.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
