Let’s make it!
Y’all know I’m always saying, “Use what you’ve got”? Well, here’s what is happening today: I am running short on craft sticks, so I’m just cutting pieces and putting them where they will be seen. I know I could go get more, but today I’m gonna use what I’ve got!

I hot glued each section of craft sticks to make them easier to paint, then painted on my Waverly Antique Wax stain, then finished with dry brushing on some White Swan.

For the jar, I just traced the shape onto some scrapbook paper, then sanded the glitter off of the jar. Next, I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper, then sanded the edges just a bit.
You can see the original teal color of the side in the last image, and I really liked it so I left it as it was.

Y’all. When the Dollar Tree became thet Dollah Twenny Five, I think they started using some serious stuff to put their things together with! I had to use my pliers to get the flowers to pop off the stems.
I also plucked off the leaves, then cut circles for my centers. I put hot glue between each layer, then some Waverly Antique Wax to add some shading, and a button tops it all!
TIP: I was folding my fabric in half then cutting my circle, but a friend said to fold fabric into fourths, then cut the circle. Game changer!

I wanted these burlap leaves from Dollar Tree as part of the background, so I used three and placed them like this:

Next came the raffia. I used natural as well as green, just folded a bunch in half and tied them at the folded end. I hot glued the bundles on, and I think I used five in total.

Adding the flowers was simple, y’all! I just hot glued one directly to the surface and I used a little wood cube for the second one. The cube pops it up a bit and gives the project even more dimension.

Here’s the finished project! I decided the teal layer of one sunflower had to go because it was too bright. I’m showing how it would look with a sentiment, which I would have used if I hadn’t already done several “hello fall” crafts lately!

Let me know in the comments what you’ve been making lately! Are you crafting for fall yet?
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
