Hey Y’all! This is the first of many update posts to come on our Stock Tank Pool Oasis. To see the original post that lays out our plan just click the link below.
Building a Stock Tank Pool Oasis
The first thing on the list was framing out the covered patio area. We used to use this concrete pad space to park our camper. It makes the perfect little spot for an outdoor patio. It went up pretty quick and I immediately wanted to get started on “privacy from the neighbors”. Y’all know setting up the perfect chunky dunkin’ spot is high on my priority list. We don’t need anyone spreadin’ pics of these bitties all over the interwebs. I’M KIDDING!!!

Mr. Lizzy had the perfect helper for the fence build. My niece Carly!

Once the fence was up, we just had to remove the old chain link and include our patio space to the back yard. This was super exciting to us, because it was the first time we could totally see the whole vision coming to life!

Mr. Lizzy added a decorative top to the fence which really gave it a nice finished look.

Next we started working on prepping the tank for Pond Shield. Pond shield is basically a rubbery like epoxy. It took a ton of sanding and prep work, and then it took the both of us to get it applied quickly before it started to “set”. This was NOT the most fun I’ve ever had, but I completely understand why it was necessary. We got our tank used, and we needed to make sure we set it up to last for a long time. Also, it’s important to get all of the cracks sealed nicely!
Hey Look it’s ME, fully clothed (in my jammies) sitting in the stock tank pool! Do I seem excited??!!!

We have a ways to go, but we can really see it start to ALL COME TOGETHER!!!

I’ll update all of you very very soon! Stay tuned Friends!!!!
XOXO- Lizzy
