Hey girl, hey! This project was inspired by Barb at The Shabby Tree and Martha at Be You Crafty. I have seen these patriotic flowers many times but y’all, Barb kicked them up like ten notches! And Martha used a necklace as a hanger!

Supplies:
Amazon: 10mm or 15mm half wooden beads Click here to check out my favorite crafting supplies (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Dollar Tree: Wooden wreath base, patriotic flowers, welcome sign, greenery, craft stick
Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Swan
Stash: strip of burlap, Aunt Criddy “littles” (these are just fun little things that Criddy collects and shares!)
Let’s make this!
First, I marked off the area I wanted flowers on.
Next I added half wooden beads to the wreath base with hot glue.

Then I painted the beads and sides of the wreath with white paint. I used Debi’s Design Diary DIY White Swan paint.

And painted the “Welcome” with the same white.

Crafting went wild, y’all!
I didn’t mean to give Aunt Criddy a pop-pop! My arm popped her in the lip so I made a run for it, but then I came back with a freezer pop to make up for it! She says she is good, but I’m still gonna sleep with one eye open!

Back to crafting!

For the flowers: I plucked them off their stems and removed the centers. Then I decided to layer them, alternating the two colors.

The greenery has wire in the stem so I just wrapped them around the wreath and hot glued them for extra security.
Y’all know there has to be raffia, right? I tied a knot in my raffia, trimmed it, then cut it below the knot to make a sprig and hot glued it on.

And then I added more greenery to go underneath the flowers.
This is cute just as it is! But I am going to add the burlap next.

I hot glued the burlap on, then trimmed it with my Xacto knife.

I used both E6000 glue (permanent hold) and hot glue (immediate hold) to put my “welcome” sign on the burlap.

Our friend Darlene suggested that I hot glue a craft stick on the back to help give it support. That is a great idea!
Next, I just added a piece of the stars necklace on the back to use as a hanger. Using a necklace for a hanger idea came from Martha at Be You Crafty.

And here she is! She’s gorgeous, y’all!

Aunt Criddy may or may not have brought something to pop-pop me with as we were saying goodbye!

Aunt Criddy and I always have a great time together, an we hope you’ll try this craft! Let me know in the comments if you are crafting something patriotic. I appreciate and read all of your comments!
XOXO-Erin
I’m working on a patriotic wreath made from burlap mesh, for my front door. Similar to one Julie from Julie’s Wreath Boutique on YouTube made! Yours is pretty stinking cute too and I might try something like it too for my back patio! Back patios get overlooked sometimes, and they deserve to get dressed up too, right?! 😂
