Interested in learning how to Paint Furniture? Well you have come to the right place. I’ve recently been asked over and over “What products and tools do you use?” So I’ve decided to share everything I use from start to finish. So stay with us and we will walk your through the entire process.
All the Products and tools I use and love have been found through my own trial and error. With that being said, all of my must haves may not work for everyone. Try things out and see what tickles your fancy.

The number one thing you need isn’t available for purchase in any store. I’m going to give it to you right now free of charge!! Before you start any furniture painting project you need to clear your mind and remember this ONE very important thing. “IT’S JUST PAINT”.
Don’t overthink it and don’t look at every single imperfection. Embrace the imperfections because that’s what will give your piece character! Let the furniture speak to you, if you get your hands on an old rustic dresser, keep it rustic! If you find a fancy French provincial buffet, you should probably keep it fancy.
Painting furniture is a process and not all of it is pretty. But don’t give up, just keep trying, you’ll get it. Be creative and just do what feels good.
Here is a photo list of the products and tools I use:
*We have found Dixie Belle paints to be one of our favorite Chalk Paints. But you can also mix your own with regular latex paint, water and Plaster of Paris.
That’s it y’all!
I hope someone finds this to be helpful. Stay tuned for Part 2, where I’ll show you how and why I use all these tools an products on every piece of Furniture I paint.
