I’m so excited about how these gnomes from Dollar Tree turned out. It’s a simple project that turned out to be one of my favorite’s to date.

Here’s what I used:
- Three Dollar Tree Gnomes
- Ivory Paint (acrylic will work)
- White Paint (acrylic will work)
- Waverly Antique Wax from Walmart
- Sanding Sponge
- Paint Brush
I started with painting them the solid ivory color. I used chalk paint, but acrylic paint will work just fine. You may need an extra coat.

Next I took the white paint and painted over the ivory. Full coverage is not necessary. The more the different shades of paint contrast with each other, the more dimension the gnomes will have.

Then, I took the sanding sponge to them and lightly brushed on the waverly antique wax to give them even more depth.

We are so EXCITED about how these turned out!

From festive to farmhouse in a matter of minutes!

I am making the little gnomes right now…going to do a arrangement for them to by…did the standup gardening ones last night so stinking cute… I put them on my three tiered tray in the kitchen….
Awesome!!
Finished the ivory and white paint-already looks awesome! The next step confuses me-do I put the Waverly wax on the gnome and sand while it’s wet? Or do I put wax on sponge? Help, please
After you put the ivory and white paint on you can use your heat gun, then you can use your sanding block then paint on the Waverly antique wax.
