Hey Y’all,
I talked a little bit about how we are moving in this post. The movers are coming on Black Friday. I’m not happy about that at all, because it keeps us from going anywhere on Thanksgiving Day, and it interrupts my Black Friday shopping plans. Instead of being a bitter Betty, I decided to get out and see if I could find some cute clearance fall things so I could decorate my table for a small Thanksgiving dinner at my house. I went to one of my favorite places, Michael’s, sure that they would have tons of beautiful Fall clearance items waiting for me. That’s not what I found at all.
The moment I walked through the doors, Christmas slapped the mess right out of me. Christmas didn’t just slap me it picked me up like a rag doll and slammed me straight into the ground. Y’all, I LOVE CHRISTMAS, I really do! If we weren’t moving I would have already decorated this entire house. I am currently watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. Christmas is my most favorite time of the year, but I had my heart set on decorating for Thanksgiving. I was quickly reminded that the world has moved on. It isn’t practical for me to pull the tubs out and do anything with the decorations I have because the movers are coming in just 9 days! In an effort to procrastinate preparing a little longer, I set out to find a few things for my table on the 22nd.
I guess I needed the universe to whip me into shape, so I’d start doing responsible things like preparing my family to move across the country. So until next year, my only option is to live vicariously through my friends and family!!!
ERIN FOUND FALL TODAY during her outings. She found the cutest decorations for Thanksgiving/Fall at the Dollar General, all 50% off. If you didn’t see her post about the awesome Holiday Item sale the DG is having this weekend you can read about it here. They really do have the cutest stuff for such reasonable prices. If you are looking for a few last minute Fall decorations or even a few things to add to your collection for next year, check out the Dollar General because they haven’t completely moved on, YET! The kicker is, I knew she had found super cute decorations at DG, but I still chose to go to Michael’s instead. Leave it to me to learn the hard way with just about EVERYTHING I do.
This is just a fraction of what they had left to offer, and it’s super cute!!
Even though we are super excited for Christmas, I promise we haven’t completely forgotten Thanksgiving! Erin’s table decor is so cute, and she’ll be showing all of us soon!

We want to see your tables too! Send us a photo so we can feature your beautiful table decor on our Facebook Page!!
Happy Thanksgiving,
