Interchangeable Easter Carrot Patch Craft!

Hey girl, hey! Here’s an easy and fun craft that you can change for almost every occasion or season!

Today, it’s an Easter craft, complete with carrots and a cute “Carrot Patch” tag.

Here are the supplies I used:

Dollar Tree: “wood look” sign, moss

Michaels: Carrots from 2022 Grab Bag

Stash: bed spring, hymnal sheet, 16 gauge wire, stamps, ribbon, fabric, spools

TIP: You can find bed springs on Amazon! Just click above link!

Here’s the video where I made our project! Just click and play!

Let’s make it!

I attached the bed spring to my board using a staple gun. The staples needed a bit more coaxing, so I brought out my hammer! You only need to secure the top and bottom.

Next for the “cone” to hold our carrots. I just rolled a hymnal sheet into a cone shape and hot glued the bottom edge to the side of the paper.

You can thrift an old hymnal for crafting, but you can also copy a music page (front and back) and even distress it to look old if you don’t want to use an actual page from a hymnal.

Next, I used hot glue to put a skewer on each carrot. I trimmed the skewers so they wouldn’t stick through the bottom. You can glue your carrots together if you would like, but the idea here is to not glue them into the cone if you want to change out the decor for different seasons or occasions.

I made this tag from little pieces of fabric and added a small piece of twine to hang it with.

How about some moss and a plaid bow? Yes!

Now for the hanger. I hot glued two wooden spools together (but didn’t close the holes) and put my wire through them. Then I hot glued the outer holes to keep the spools from moving on the wire. Lastly, I used a paint brush to curl my wire.

Adding the hanger to the back put me on the struggle bus, y’all! I used my staple gun and was careful that the staples didn’t go through to the front. I had to hammer the staples, but it worked out! After the hanger was attached, I “folded” the ends of my wire with pliers.

Here’s a close up!

I’m loving this project, y’all! It is even better now that it can be changed for other occasions.

One more thing! Did you know that we offer craft kits from time to time? We sure do! And we gather on Zoom to craft together once all the kits have been shipped and received! Be sure to follow the Lizzy and Erin Facebook page so you will know when we are shipping another. Here is a recent one we made just for kids. Our sweet Judie (aka: the Easter Bunny) filled each kit and even added a little snack to enjoy while crafting!

Our craft today was fun and a great project for every crafter! Let me know in the comments how you would “change out” the decor. I really appreciate your comments and I read them all!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

XOXO-Erin
