Hey Y’all,
Erin and I did our first live video on Facebook today, and then we did our second, which turned into just Erin doing a super cute Christmas craft alone because we “don’t technology good”. If you haven’t been to our Facebook yet, head over and check it out.
In our first live I showed everyone how to make a couple of cute AND simple bows with ONLY wrapping paper. I’m going to attempt to walk you through the process here, but I highly recommend watching the live video tutorial on our Facebook page.
What You Need For Bow #1:
- Tape
- Wrapping Paper
- Scissors
- Stapler
Step 1: Cut your wrapping paper into 10 strips. For this bow I chose to cut 10 strips 12 inches long and 1 inch wide. You will also need one small strip roughly 6 inches long and 1 inch wide.
Step 2: Turn your wrapping paper strips into loops by connecting the ends with a piece of tape. Think back to kindergarten when you made the chains with construction paper. Use the same strategy for this step.
Step 3: Take a loop and pinch the center closed. Then take a second loop and pinch the center of it closed. Stack them on top of each other in an X pattern, or a Cross. Take your stapler and secure the two loops together so that they look like the photo below.
Step 4: Repeat step 3 until you have 5 X’s.
Step 5: Stack the X’s on top of each other alternating directions. Take your stapler and secure all five X’s together with one staple in the center.
Step6: Take your small strip you cut earlier, and make a loop. Tape the loop to the center of your bow.
Optional Step 7: Take a long strip of wrapping paper, fold it to make a thin strip with nice edges and wrap it around your gift simulating a ribbon.
Attach your bow to the gift!!!! BOOM! Super easy!!
What You Need For Bow #2:
- Scissors
- Wrapping Paper
- Tape
I wouldn’t even know how to begin explaining through text how to make this bow. That is why I created the tutorial video below. It’s short, to the point, and worth a watch. This is my favorite of the two bows I made on the live video today! It also features one of my favorite Christmas songs!! That’s all there is to it. Step your present wrapping game up a notch this Holiday season. The best part is, you don’t have to buy a anything extra to make these cute little guys.
Happy Present Wrapping!!! ~Lizzy
