Hey Y’all!

I painted my very first door hanger live not too long ago. I absolutely loved the experience even though it took me forever! I ended the live completely stuck on what I wanted it to say in the middle, and how I wanted to do it. Well Y’all I found the perfect little finishing touch! By the way, I got the wooden door hanger at Hobby Lobby.

I found this oversized metal ornament at Hobby Lobby after Christmas last year. It fit perfectly in the center of the ornament door hanger. I decided to paint it gold to match the top of the ornament. To do this I first used waverly chalk paint in the color ivory. Once it was completely dry I went over it lightly with tan apple barrel paint. After that dried, I painted a couple of coats of the gold paint I used during the live. You can watch the replay for that live to see how I painted the door hanger by clicking the button below!

I attached the word using E6000 and Hot Glue. I am IN LOVE with how this turned out. I may even paint door hangers more often now that I know how relaxing it can be.

If you love how this project turned out as much as we do, could you do us a little favor and…
