Let’s make it!
I put two coats of a light brown paint from Apple Barrel, drying with my heat tool in between each coat.

Just dabbed on some color…
TIP: You don’t have to paint every kernel. Some can be left in that light shade of brown.

Dried my painted kernels, then used Waverly Antique Wax (watered down) over the project. I also added some gold and yellow to give it some shine.

I stained the frame of my surface with Waverly Antique Wax, then went back with a wet paper towel to remove any excess.

I added two small wood cubes on the back with hot glue to “pop up” one of the corn husks.

I’m thinking of how much ribbon and raffia I want to add at the top.

The final step: I prestrung some beads and left long twine tails so I could hot glue them on to the back.
I cut a craft stick into pieces, then hot glued the twine to the back, then placed a piece of craft stick over the twine for extra security.

And here it is! Y’all, I stinkin’ love this! It will surely welcome fall wherever I hang it!
