Hey Y’all,
I am getting really excited about all of the awesome Dollar Tree flips we’ve had going on, on our facebook page recently! It seems like the possibilities are endless. I found this Fall mason jar sign for $1 at my local Dollar Tree.

There is nothing better than taking a few dollars and making a piece of decor work for any season in your home!! This little project is a new favorite because it turned out so stinkin’ cute!
Let’s gather up your supplies and get started! Here is what you’ll need.

- Dollar Tree Mason Jar Sign
- Scrapbook Paper (The Buffalo Check Ones were 4 for a Dollar at Hobby Lobby)
- Mod Podge and Brush
- Ribbon
- Floral Wire
- A drill or a Crop-a-Dile
- Jute/Twine
- Scissors and a Marker
- Sanding Sponge (You can get them at the Dollar Tree)
Take your sanding sponge and remove the words. You don’t have to get them completely off but you do want it to be some what smooth.
Next, flip the sign over and trace it out on your scrap book paper.
Cut out your mason jar shape.

Time to do some decoupage!! Get a good amount of mod podge on the front of your sign. Cover the sign evenly with the mod podge by using your brush. Then, lay your scrapbook paper right on top smoothing it out with your hands. Some wrinkles are okay and will add to the distressed look of the piece at the end!
Once it is dry, take your scissors or an x-acto knife and trim the top of the paper that is covering the burlap piece of the jar. Now is the time to take your sanding sponge and rough it up a bit. Focus on the edges and lightly go over the top. Make your wrinkles stand out. We are going for an old worn out blue jeans look!!

Power Tool TIME!! (or you can use a Crop-a-Dile) Make two holes in the top of the mason jar right under the burlap piece. Put your holes about a 1/2 inch apart.
Seal the top of your scrap book paper with the mod podge. This will give it a finished look! Don’t worry about the cloudy appearance! It will dry clear!
At this point, we already have a super cute makeover underway, but let’s take it to the next level by adding some Jute/twine to the bottom. This will be perfect for holding a picture! Make sure you wrap it tight, and tie it off in the back.

The detail for this makeover is going to be in the BOWS. Yes I said BOWS. ALL THE BOWS!!! I made 3 “re-fabbed bows” (you can see how to make a re-fabbed bow right HERE!) . Each bow for a different season. 1 for Fall, Christmas, and Spring/Summer. Take your bows and run some floral wire through the back. All you need to do is take that wire and put it through the two holes you made at the top of the jar, and twist it in the back to secure it.

THAT’S IT!! Add your favorite photo and it is DONE!!! The wire makes it super easy to change out the bow so it matches your decor all year round!

I love this one so much! Everyone in my family may get one as a gift this year! 🙂

(Let’s pause for a second and reflect on the PURE CUTENESS that is my kiddo! :)))

If you love it as much as we do, could you do us a little favor and…
