Framed Christmas Gnomes

Hey y’all, heyyy! Let’s make some Christmas gnomes! These are fun and easy, and most of my supplies are from Dollar Tree. Check out the video here!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree: gnome ornaments (from last year), Mod Podge, mop head, wood cubes, beads and craft sticks

Hobby Lobby: scrapbook paper, beaded garlands

Walmart: red and black plaid fat quarter

Here we go!

These signs were at my Dollar Tree. I’ll use two as surfaces for these projects and I think I’m keeping the one with the truck because it’s so cute!

I just “sized” the scrapbook paper by laying it inside the frame and creating a fold against the edge. The trim on one end of the sign came off but I glued it back on later.

I trimmed the paper and then put Mod Podge on the surface. The scrapbook paper fit just perfectly!

Here are the beads we are going to use. I used the large red beads and the smallest white beads for the little garland over my gnomes.

Here’s how it will look:

I added the small gnome ornaments by gluing them between the white beads.I thought about small pompoms, but they really competed with the cute little gnome noses.

The second one is inspired by a gnome pillow I saw at Hobby Lobby recently. Here’s the blog post where I made my own gnome pillow!

I added the paper just as I did in the previous one. There were four of those gnome ornaments so I had one left over. I used the fourth one as a template for this set of gnomes.

Just trace the hat onto cardboard and cut out (you can adjust as needed).

The red and black plaid is going to be so cute!

To create the beards, I used strands from the Dollar Tree mop head. My design used seven strands for each one. I just glued them on and then gave each one a trimmy-trim so they would all be the same length.

I glued wood cubes behind them so they would be dimensional. Now it’s time to add a hanger!

Those beaded garlands are great for projects like this. This one is from Dollar Tree. I usually glue the twine to the back of the project and then use pieces of a craft stick to secure the ends.

Inspired by the Hobby Lobby pillow, now I have a decorative theme going! That one on the right just makes me happy, y’all! The garland at the top makes the whole project even more fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’d love to know what you think of these projects and how you might use them in your decor. Comment below and let me know, I read every one!

XOXO-Erin
