Hey girl, hey! Well, Aunt Criddy (my MUCH older sister) has surely rubbed off on Finn. He is in charge of today’s craft, and it seems he wants… wait for it… a gnome home! That’s right, just like Aunt Criddy! Y’all know she’s the queen of the gnome homes, and a “professional” crafter, right? Anyway, follow along here or check out the video below for all the fun!

Supplies:
Dollar Tree: wood blocks, moss, little gnomes
Milton’s Daughter: IOD moulds , Debi’s Design Diary DIY paints
Hobby Lobby: Sculpt It clay
Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax
Let’s make it!
Before this craft, I made these little IOD moulded mushrooms with the Sculpt It clay that I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby. Finn suggested I make a gnome home to go with them and here we are!

These are just two of the many Iron Orchid Designs (IOD) moulds that Lori carries in her Milton’s Daughter shop. Finn wanted to use them today, so he will be crafting alongside me while I’m making the gnome home to his specifications!

Finn wanted the blocks painted with teal. He took a little fall so he needed a popsicle break, but left instructions that I was to use cotton batting also. (Talk about a craft challenge! I was able to cover everything with moss, so now it’s beginning to resemble a stump in the woods!)

I glued craft sticks on the back of each mushroom, added a block for support, then glued them onto the top.

These two little gnomes are just the right size for this! (And yes, that is a rock on top of the moss. Finn said it needed a rock or two.)

I made a little door with craft sticks, and painted it with Waverly Antique Wax.

I love his giggles! He held on to me when daddy opened the door because it startled us both!

Our Finn-ished projects! Finn made a horse that Aunt Criddy wants in her bedroom, and he also painted a couple of snails. He is saving the lizard and acorns to paint later.
I think his idea for a gnome home was perfect!

This was so much fun. I really enjoyed crafting with Finn after having been away for a family emergency. He is funny, sweet and creative! Comment below and let me know what you think of his little gnome home!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
