Hey y’all, hey! To tell you the truth, I’m a little nervous over this one! It might turn out cute OR it might be decor for the chicken coop! We are going for “tacky”, so stay tuned…
Dollar Tree: Two Easter trees, zip ties, Easter ornaments, metal pail, moss (you can use Easter grass instead of moss), Easter bunny treat bags, miniature lights, pipe cleaners (chenille stems)

Stash: Easter ornaments from Walmart, Hobby Lobby and Michaels
Thrifted: Floral foam
Let’s make it!
But first, check out this Christmas tree that I found at a yard sale. It HAD to come home with me and is my inspiration for this craft.
I put the two trees together with zip ties.
I cut chunks of floral foam and hot glued them into the pail.
I’m going to pause right here and tell y’all to go ahead and put your moss on now! It will be easier before than after (ask me how I know… LOL)
If you’re going to use a string of lights, you can add those now also.
TIP: One of our friends suggested using Easter grass instead of moss. Great idea!
Here’s my bucket of “stuff” I’ve collected for my tree, mostly from Dollar Tree.
I added pom pom trim to the top edge and bunny trim to the bottom of my pail.
The glue skillet is a great tool for the ornaments because I can just dip the pieces in (it is linked in the supply list above). Our friend Bekah Williams sent it to me!
I just kept adding on my ornaments. This is how it’s going:
These canvas treat bags are so cute! I carefully cut the ears off so the bag can still be used.
I used pink chenille stems (pipe cleaners) to trim the ears and help them to stand up.
I added the ears and a scrappy bow, and we have a cute Easter tree! I really like the lights on it!
This was a fun craft, y’all! Let me know in the comments what you think of our Easter tree. I appreciate every single one of you!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
