Hey girl, hey! You know the saying, “When life gives you lemons…” anyway, here’s my version!
Check out my video for some fun AND a tour of the almost-finished bathroom!

Supplies:
Dollar Tree: Cutting board sign, Tumbling Tower Game blocks
Debi’s Design Diary DIY paint: White Swan
Tuesday Morning: Blue napkin
Amazon: Scrabble letters, sanding sponge, Mod Podge Click here to check out my favorite crafting supplies (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
Stash: Lemon napkin (Not sure where I found this)

Here’s what I started with! I kept the twine hanger and will put it back on when I’m done.

I cut the other twine off and then painted the sign with White Swan.

I used two coats of White Swan and dried in between.

I cut a “slice” of cardboard that matches the shape and size of the lemon.
Then I painted the cardboard white, and used my heat tool to dry it.
Next, I put a thin layer of Mod Podge on.

This napkin was 2 ply, so I separated the layers. Sometimes you’ll have a 3 ply, so just take the top part off and use that top layer.

I placed the lemon on the cardboard shape before the Mod Podge dried.

Now for the blue check! This one is two ply also, so I just separated the layers.

I put on a light coat of Mod Podge first, then placed the napkin on. My napkin was a little too small so I will match up the top in a moment.
I used my heat tool to dry it, then sanded the edges.

I put the Mod Podge on the end and then matched my checks. Then I sanded those edges also.

I might need to explain the change of hair and clothes, but you can see it on the video!
Next, I made little shelves from Tumbling Tower Game blocks, and glued them on.
Then I added the blocks to the lemon slice and glued it on.

I love how this turned out! That blue and yellow always makes me smile!
