Have you ever had an idea that was so crazy, you knew it would either be a HUGE WIN or a BIG FLOP? I have them all of the time, and I’m about 50/50 with wins and flops.
I bought a TON of packages of burlap leaves from the Dollar Tree, as soon as they hit the shelves for Fall. I’ve used them every way a leaf can be used, but I still had a bunch left over. Then my brain got to working (SCARY) and I decided they didn’t have to be leaves anymore. They could be a pumpkin.
Heres what you need:

- 2 packs of Dollar Tree Burlap Leaves
- 7″ Long Piece of Scrap Wood
- Raffia
- Green Ribbon (or a leaf from an old floral stem
The leaves have a pretty sturdy piece of wire attached to them. Perfect for twisting around the scrap wood.

I used all ten leaves from 2 packages, and attached them around the piece of scrap wood, alternating colors.
Once they were all attached I bent, and shaped the leaves to make them look the way I wanted.
I cut a little piece of green ribbon to make a leaf for the top of the pumpkin, and finished out the top with a whole lot of brown raffia from the Dollar Tree.
That’s It. It was really simple to do! I have to tell you I’m on the fence about this one but am super excited to hear what y’all think. I’ve gotten a whole lot of “I LOVE THAT” and just as many “HMMM.. I DON’T KNOW” with a few “WHAT IS IT” mixed in.
It’s unique, and I think pretty cute. What Do you Think??

If you like it, could you do us a little favor and..
