THIS ONE Y’ALL, is my FAVORITE SO FAR! I am in love with how this spindle angle turned out. I made it live on our facebook page, and you can totally catch the replay of that by clicking the button below.

I used a bed post (likely from a foot board of a bed) that I picked up at a booth here in Mineola. It was already painted, but that look would be easily achieved by painting a spindle of your choice with white chalk paint, and then distressing it with a sanding sponge.

I cut the wings out of the dollar tree foil/tin cookie sheets. When you are cutting the wings think “half of a heart”, practice with paper before cutting your cookie sheet. I used a little paint (ivory, and tuscan red) and waverly antique wax to make the wings look old and rusty. Then, I went over it with the sanding sponge. I attached the wings with e6000 and used jumbo craft sticks to brace them in the back.

I glued a tiny wooden knob to the front of the Angel and hung a rusty star from my stash. The halo is made from a mini grapevine wreath, and the dollar tree floral dingle berries. That’s it y’all. It really was super simple and it turned out absolutely beautiful.
If you love it as much as we do, do us a little favor and….
PIN IT FOR LATER

I hope y’all make one too, and if you do… Text us a picture of it to 903-287-9131. We would love to see it. Also we’ll send you live alerts and special promo codes to use in our store every once in a while.
XOXO- Lizzy
