DIY Farmhouse Valentine’s Love Sign

This one is CUTE y’all! Probably the cutest Valentine’s sign I’ve made SO FAR!!!! I love how “farmhousey” it turned out. The neutrals are just soo pretty.

Here is what I used.

  • Left over Fall Sign from Dollar Tree
  • Striped Scrapbook Paper from Hobby Lobby
  • Modpodge
  • Wooden Beads. I got mine from amazon by far the best deal. Here is our affiliate link.
  • Sticks (I got mine from Hobby Lobby for 90% off but you can easily use ones from the yard)
  • Mason Jar Lid Ring
  • Raffia
  • Burlap Ribbon, and Fur Ribbon. The fur ribbon came from Michael’s and the burlap ribbon from Walmart
  • Hot Glue/ Glue Gun

On the back side of the sign I applied a good bit of modpodge. I then placed scrapbook paper on smoothing out the bubblies.

I trimmed the edges using a sanding sponge.

Next, with the glue gun I applied two strips of ribbon. One of the burlap, and one of the fur. I liked the different textures together!

I then broke the sticks to make the L-V-E. Using the glue gun, I attached the sticks to the sign. I thought the mason jar lid ring made a great O. It just needed a little bit of raffia to make it perfect.

After I finished it, I definitely felt like it needed something to frame it out. I tried craft sticks, and regular sticks. Neither looked right. So I settled on using the wood beads. I had used them before in a similar way on another project, but I left them on the strand which made them all line up nicely. This time I glued them individually. It turned out great, but I do wish I would have taken the extra time to put them on some twine so they would have lined up better.

Make sure you leave room on either side of your letters for the beads if that’s how you choose to frame your sign out. After thinking about it, I think the little birch logs from Hobby Lobby that I have could have framed it out nicely too.

That’s it y’all!! I think it turned out so dang cute, and I absolutely LOVE it.

If you love it as much as we do could you do us a little favor and..
