I know y’all have seen these pictures, or at least this style of home decor just about everywhere. Biglots, Dollar General, Walmart, or even at garage sales. I got this one at Ross a long time ago. I’m working on a gallery wall in my home, and I felt like it was time to update this guy so he’d fit right in.

Here’s what I used.
- Ross decorative metal art
- E600
- Dixie Bell Paint Color Savannah Mist, and White chalk paint I mixed myself.
- Baby Wipes
- Pictures from Dollar General
I started with painting the real ornate part of the metal frame with the white chalk paint that I mixed. Then, I painted the outside of the frame, and over the words on the center pieces, with Dixie Bell’s savannah mist.

Next, I wet distressed it with a baby wipe to let some of the original colors show through.

I found these three little pictures in the white frames at Dollar General, and they were a perfect match for this upcycle project. They were 90% off which made them 80 cents for the set! Attaching them was easy. I used E600, which you can find at any craft store or Walmart.

That’s really all I did y’all! So simple and such a transformation! My favorite kind of project, DECORATING on a BUDGET!
