Hey Y’all! It’s me again, full steam ahead on the hot mess express and waiting until the LAST minute to make cute little Easter goodie bags to add to my kiddos Easter basket!
I was throwing loose candy in a bag and thought, hey wait a second, what am I doing, I SHOULD MAKE A CARROT to put the candy in, and so I did live on Facebook. You can watch it here if you want to.
It was easy to put them together, and it took me all of maybe 5 minutes to make one.
Here’s what I used.
- Material, or Burlap. I used a cute orange polka dot material, and orange burlap that I already had.
- A paper bag. Or something a little more stiff to make the funnel to hold the candy. A piece of copy paper, or card stock would work just fine.
- Raffia, jute, or twine. Which ever you prefer.
- Candy to fill the carrot.
- Greenery for the top.
I cut my material into a square, and also cut the paper bag into a square. I rolled the paper bag into a funnel and put a small piece of tape to hold it.
Then I took the material and wrapped the funnel with it. I tied the end with a piece of string.

I filled the inside with candy, and then bunched up the top and tied it off with the raffia. Then, I trimmed the top and added the greenery by wrapping raffia around to hold it in place.

That’s IT, It was THAT simple! They turned out absolutely adorable, and I just know my little one will love opening them up to see what’s inside!!

If you love them as much as I do, would you do me a little favor and…
PIN IT FOR LATER.
