Hey girl, hey! Y’all might be wondering what is iFlex… well, it’s similar to molded clay, but you don’t have to wait for it to dry, and the pieces are already made for you! It’s all explained on the videos below, parts one and two. It’s not complicated at all, I just had to leave before my project was finished and came back for part two!
But wait! There’s also a surprise! Read on… (or watch video #2!)

Supplies:
Amazon: Mod Podge, Xacto knife Click here to check out my favorite crafting supplies (This is an Amazon affiliate link and I may receive a small compensation for items purchased from this link.)
iFlex: Van Gossen Distributors
Thrifted: Picture frame (most likely found at Goodwill Outlet bins for .25)
Dollar Tree: Pumpkin, foil flakes, 11X14 canvas (I trimmed it to fit my frame), Tumbling Tower Game blocks
Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint: Summer Crush (orange), Aviary (green)
Walmart: Waverly Antique Wax
Stash: Ribbon, burlap

iFlex also comes in rolls! You can heat it up and it becomes flexible so you can manipulate it however you need and then glue it onto your project.

They have pretty much any design you can think of! There are gnomes, snowmen, all sorts of ornaments, tons of details for furniture and y’all, you need to see the selection! Just click here and choose a category.

I used this Dollar Tree wood pumpkin and then arranged and glued my iFlex pieces to it.

I’m using Debi’s Design Diary DIY Paint in Summer Crush for my pumpkin. It’s a great fall color! I’m also going to use these foil flakes from Dollar Tree. They are copper colored, and will look great with the Summer Crush.
TIP: You can also use Rub-N-Buff for a metallic finish.

Painting the iFlex is not difficult at all. I just made sure all the nooks and crannies were painted, and also went along the outside edge. You can see in the last image how great the coverage is when the iFlex and Debi’s Design Diary meet!

To bring out those details even more, I painted on Waverly Antique Wax, spritzed with water then wiped off with a paper towel.

Now for the foil flakes! I put Mod Podge on to a small area, then picked up flakes with my paint brush (the same one I used for the Mod Podge). In the bottom left image, you can see just one edge with the foiling. It’s going to look so good, y’all!

For the stem, I painted on the Waverly stain, but it was too flat and brown. One of our friends suggested adding green, so I painted on Aviary from Debi’s Design Diary. I also added just a little of the foil flakes.

Let’s pause for a minute to show y’all a SURPRISE! Look what’s in my basket! Ducks!
We got them from Tractor Supply. I’m hoping they will be besties with Waddles… we will see. He’s not impressed just yet! But y’all, they are so stinkin’ cute!

Now back to crafting!
Here’s the frame I am using. It’s different than the one in the supply photo above, but use what works best for you!

I removed the hanger from the middle and then decided my frame needed some extra support. Hot glue and craft sticks to the rescue! You can see that I placed pieces of craft sticks at a diagonal on all four corners.

I trimmed my 11 X 14 Dollar Tree canvas down to fit the frame, then sanded a rough spot.
Next, I frayed my burlap and then painted the canvas in Aviary (green).

Sanding around the edges, hot gluing the canvas into the frame and we are ready for the pumpkin!

Coming into the finish line! I glued the burlap on, then added some of the game blocks on the back of the pumpkin. Next was to add the bow. I used some fabric and raffia, then fluffed and trimmed.

Y’all. I decided that the green needed some stain, so I added some Waverly Antique Wax to the edges.

Now we have a fancy pumpkin in a rustic frame!

I hope you enjoyed this project! Let me know in the comments below what you’re crafting lately. I appreciate each and every one of you!
Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
