Aunt Criddy is in town and she is in charge of dinner tonight. Finn and I are her sous chefs!
She is making turkey meatballs in mushroom sauce with roasted carrots and mashed potatoes. The ingredients feature a whole meal delivered to our door, and each week we get three meals with four servings. It makes dinner so easy! We’ve tried others, but HomeChef is our favorite. Here’s the video, check it out!
Everything comes clearly marked and even the meat stays cold with cold packaging! This bag has the sauces, and the only things we had to add were salt, pepper and oil. We did add some other favorites such as garlic powder and cheese to the potatoes.
Your first order comes with a binder from HomeChef.

The ingredients are packaged separately, depending on whether they are meats, veggies or sauces.

Our kit tonight came with fresh mushrooms, ready to cut up.
By the way, this is Aunt Criddy’s “I’m gonna win at Mario Cart after dinner” look.
Y’all, she just might!

Aunt Criddy is cutting up the mushrooms while I prepare the carrots and potatoes. Finn is supervising the prep.

We love mushrooms!

Welcome to the shenanigans, y’all!
(You know there had to be some crazy, right?) Aunt Criddy is like, “I’m trying to cook over here!)

The recipe cards are easy to follow, and have simple instructions.

Those carrots needed some oil!

Criddy added the meat to a mixing bowl. Our HomeChef is for a family of five, so we have two packs of the ground turkey.

Criddy added the ricotta cheese and Panko (bread crumbs) to the meat.

And the carrots and potatoes are ready to be cooked.

The meatballs are browning while the potatoes begin to boil.

Putting the meatballs into the oven to finish cooking.

The mushrooms and demi glaze make the kitchen smell so good!

I added the meatballs to the mushroom mixture once they were finished baking.

We added a little water in the saucepan to make a gravy, and I stirred in the sour cream into the potatoes.

Y’all! This smells amazing. Now it’s time to plate it and get to the table!

Have you tried any of the meal kits? Let me know in the comments! I hope you’ll check out HomeChef, it’s so good!
Thanks for stopping by,
XOXO-Erin
