Hey girl, hey! How about some birch logs to give your holiday decor some toasty warmth? These look like they are ready for the fireplace, but they are actually pool noodles! Simple and fun to make, just check out the video here, or follow along below!
Supply list:
Dollar Tree:
Pool noodle (I used white, and I only needed one)
18 ft. spool of ribbon (looks like birch)
Frosted greenery Christmas pick
“Merry Christmas” ornament (I think it came from Dollar Tree)
Other:
Strip of fabric
Here’s how to make your very own birch logs!
I cut my pool noodle into three equal sections with a kitchen knife. There was a piece left over, so I’ll probably make a candle later on with that!

Here’s that ribbon, y’all! I measured a bit longer than the “logs” and cut three strips for each one. I hot glued them on lengthwise, and the foam melted just enough to make it even more realistic!

I gave it a trimmy-trim on the ends.

I cut six squares to cover the ends of the three logs.

I placed the squares on with hot glue. You might try other ways of covering the ends, but this worked fine for me!

And then I trimmed off the excess.

This is how the end of the logs look after you’ve trimmed and added the pieces to cover them.

I zig-zagged my hot glue on two of the logs, just enough for the third log to go on top.

Press just a little and now you’ve got a stack of birch logs! Of course, we are gonna decorate them!

I put a strip of plaid fabric on mine and I added the Christmas pick on one side.

Here you go, girl! How cute is this? I considered a few options for the final touch, but the “Merry Christmas” ornament won!

Look how much of this Dollar Tree ribbon I have left! It’s plenty for the next craft!

Thank you all for stopping by my blog! Let me know in the comments what you think of this fun craft and if you are making one for your home!
