Aunt Criddy makes the BEST dump cakes! She used cherry pie filling with pineapple and this one was a must-have dessert!

Here’s what she used:
2 cans (21oz) pie filling of your choice. (Aunt Criddy used cherry)
1 can (20oz) crushed pineapple
1 boxed cake mix (Aunt Criddy used Duncan Hines Butter Golden)
2 sticks refrigerated butter
And here’s the how to!
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
In a 9X13 baking dish, add pie filling and pineapple.
Mix together and spread out equally in the pan.
Add the box of dry cake mix over the pie filling/pineapple mix. Make sure that you spread the dry cake mix over the entire mixture, using a spoon or spatula to flatten out any clumps .
Cut butter into small squares and place over top of the dry cake mix .
Place in oven for approximately one hour and 15 minutes. (Aunt Criddy says to put the baking dish on a cookie sheet in event of overflow.)
Cake should be bubbly around the edges and light brown on top when done.

NOTE: You can use any canned pie filling and cake mix of your choice.
Optional: nuts on top, serve with ice cream!
Enjoy!
