Hey friends! It’s Cooking with Criddy!
Aunt Criddy made this chili on a live video, and there were lots of friends who shared ideas about the chili, cornbread and even garlic bread that they serve with theirs!
Here are the ingredients she used:
Yellow onions
2 lbs ground beef
Salt and pepper
2 cans 15.5 oz dark red kidney beans (or whatever beans you like!)
1 can 16 oz Bush’s mild chili beans
15 oz can tomato sauce
Rotel (Criddy uses mild diced tomatoes with green chilies)
Tomato paste (1/2 or the whole can depending on the size of your recipe)
Chili seasoning packet
Polska Kielbasa
Let’s make it!
Brown the ground beef with yellow onions mixed in. Add some salt and pepper, then drain. Put drained beef into crock pot.
Cridddy always cooks her chili in a crock pot, and she says she measures with her heart!

Add these to the meat in your crock pot. See ingredient list above to determine how much of each you’ll need.

Add chili seasoning packet to the mix.
Tip: For your tomato paste: add water if too thick, add more tomato paste if too thin.

Stir it all up! It will be delicious once it has simmered, but it will be even better the next day. Those flavors mix so well!

Aunt Criddy always adds Polska Kielbasa to her chili. She said since it’s already cooked, just add it in about 15 minutes before you’re ready to serve the chili.

Chop the Kielbasa into bite sized chunks and put in the fridge until ready to mix in with the chili.

Serve your chili with cornbread, garlic bread, crackers, Fritos, or whatever you enjoy! Our friends on Aunt Criddy’s live video had some great ideas and options!
She likes to make Jiffy cornbread mix in an iron skillet. Sometimes she will add creamed corn, broccoli and cheese or jalapeno peppers to the mix.

There are lots of ways to enjoy your chili! Criddy’s favorite is to layer cornbread, cheese, chili, cheese, sour cream, cheese and more cheese! Other favorites are avocado and onions.
What is your favorite way to make chili? What toppings do you add? I read all of your comments, and I really appreciate your stopping by!
